Outdoor Meeting for Worship at Speakers Corner

31 Aug 2008 | 2.00pm – 3.00pm

On the last Sunday of every month, we hold an outdoor meeting for worship at Speakers Corner. A small group of Quakers gathers in silence, holding simple placards, with one or two Friends handing leaflets to passers-by.

Meanwhile the Friends in worship hold a centre of stillness, surrounded by the hubbub of Speakers Corner. We stand or sit, on the ground or on small stools, in a circle. The worship deepens and seems to be more intense because of the noises and bustle all around. It really is a wonderful experience.

This meeting for worship is organised and maintained by Westminster Quaker Meeting. Everyone is welcome to join us.
