Quaker Meeting for Worship at the Occupy London Stock Exchange Camp 26 February 2012

Sunday, 26 February, 2012 - 15:00 - 16:00

Quaker Meeting for Worship at the Occupy London Stock Exchange Camp 26 Feb 2012.

At a brief meeting at the end of last week's Quaker Meeting for Worship in support of the Occupy London Stock Exchange camp, Friends sought to discern what we should do next Sunday if the camp has been evicted.

We felt we should gather at 3.0pm on Sunday 26th February in front of the steps of St Paul’s Cathedral where we usually gather for meeting for worship. We will then seek to discern what we are called to do and where. Our Meeting does not obstruct access to the steps or to the Cathedral.
We were reminded that the residents of the camp urgently need warm bedding, warm clothes and food.

A Suggestion: That Friends and others who feel they can join us hold a half hour silent Meeting for Worship for Love, Truth, Equality, Peace, Simplicity and Harmony with Creation, wherever we feel called to move to on that Sunday. This could be in front of St Pauls, if there are still Occupy campers there, at a new camp Occupy camp nearby or at another place where our witness is needed.

Chris Gwyntopher,
Member North East Thames Area Meeting.

Address:
Regular meeting for worship gathering place at the brow of Ludgate Hill, in front of but not obstructing St. Paul's Cathedral.
Cost:
Whatever time and endurance you feel called to give.
