Website drop-in meeting Saturday 3 March 10-1 at the Quaker Centre
Saturday, 3 March, 2012 - 10:00 - 13:00
This is a notice from the small but very dedicated group of Friends who volunteer some of their time to bring you this website (http://londonquakers.org.uk).
We've been holding informal get-togethers at the Quaker Centre on Saturday mornings 10am-1pm. The idea is to have friendly and non-intimidating hands-on sessions where we break into small groups to help each other learn how to maintain the web pages.
Our next meet-up to do some work on the website will be on Saturday 3 March, between 10 and 1, at the Quaker Centre. It's a "drop-in" session so please come for as long as you can, grab yourself a coffee and join in.
This is very much a "Meeting for Learning and Getting Things Done". Everyone is welcome regardless of technical ability. We will split into small groups of usually 2 or 3.
If you don't know much about maintaining a website, don't worry. The process of adding an event to the website is really quite easy, and there will be people able and willing to show you how it's done.
To be honest, it's as much a social thing as a technical thing. We have found that if people get together face-to-face the technical problems are reduced because the work is done collaboratively, in an atmosphere of trust.
So, we hope to see you at the Quaker Centre.
